Privacy policy

Strategic Sales Group (“SSG MFG”, “SSG”, “we”) is a manufacturers’ representation firm. This policy covers ssgmfg.com, the part builder, the AI copilot, the REST API, the MCP server and the rep network.

What you send us.

• Contact form: name, email, company, phone, topic and message.
• RFQs from the builder, the quote form, the API, the MCP server or WebMCP: contact details, part specifications, quantities, dates, notes and any files you attach.
• Network applications from independent reps and manufacturers: contact details, territory, lines and capabilities.

CAD files in the builder. Files you open in the part builder are read and measured in your browser and are not uploaded. When you send an RFQ from the builder, we receive the part’s measurements, settings and file name. A file reaches us only when you attach it to an RFQ, for example on the quote form.

The AI copilot. Messages you type to the copilot, any image you attach, and the current part settings are sent to our AI model provider (currently Anthropic) to generate a reply. [Confirm the provider’s data-retention and training terms and state them here.]

Collected automatically. Our servers log IP address, browser type, pages requested and times. We use this to run the site, stop abuse and enforce rate limits.

Analytics. [Name the analytics service if one is added, what it measures, whether it sets cookies and how long it keeps data. If none, say so.]

The site doesn’t need cookies to work. It uses your browser’s local storage to remember:

• Your reduced-motion preference.
• Builder projects and settings, so your parts are there when you come back.
• The builder’s light or dark theme.

This data stays in your browser. Clearing site data in your browser removes it.

• To answer your messages and route your RFQs to principals that can quote them.
• To manage quotes, orders and follow-up through delivery.
• To run the rep network, including crediting jobs and tracking commission.
• To run, secure and fix the site, the API and the MCP server.
• To meet legal obligations.

• Principals matched to your RFQ, only to quote it and, if you order, to make and ship the parts. If you ask for an NDA, drawings go to principals only after it is signed.
• Network reps who submitted the RFQ on your behalf or look after your account.
• Service providers that run the site for us, such as hosting, email delivery (Resend) and the AI model provider for the copilot, under contracts that limit them to that work.
• Authorities, when the law requires it or to protect people or property.
• A buyer or successor, if SSG is part of a merger or acquisition, under this policy.

We don’t sell personal information and don’t use it for advertising.

• Messages and RFQs: as long as needed to answer, quote and support any order, then [retention period] as business records.
• Attached files: [retention period]. Ask and we delete them sooner, unless an open order needs them.
• Server logs: [retention period].
• Copilot messages: processed to produce a reply and not stored on SSG’s servers.

You can ask us to show you, correct or delete the personal information we hold about you, or to stop using it for a purpose. Email bob@ssgmfg.com; we confirm who you are before acting on a request.

Depending on where you live, laws such as the California Consumer Privacy Act or the GDPR give you further rights. We won’t treat you differently for using them. [Confirm which state and international laws apply and list their specific rights and response times.]

The site runs over HTTPS, and access to RFQs and files is limited to people who need it. No system is perfectly secure. If you find a vulnerability, email bob@ssgmfg.com.

The site is for businesses and isn’t meant for children under 16. We don’t knowingly collect their information.
